Make Your Own Old Republic Cards

First off, thanks a million for making me a contributor to Darth Hater. I look forward to being part of this community.

Many of you may remember Star Wars: The Collectible Card Game. It was created by Decipher and is now maintained by the SWCCG Players Committee. Just for fun, I've made some Adobe Photoshop templates that are based on that game. Feel free to download these and make your own cards, or even your own little game Make sure to give full credit to BioWare, LucasArts, Blur and Decipher. These cards are for recreational use only.

Download the card templates here.
Open one of the templates using Adobe Photoshop.
Show/hide/manipulate/add layers to create your cards.

Here are some more examples that I've created:
If you would like to learn how to play SWCCG, go here. I apologize in advance if there are any errors/oversights

I was gathering ideas for making an Old Republic era star wars ccg, not based on previous rules systems, or possibly using the Battleground ccg rules, which where used for Aliens/Predator, and the short lived Terminator games.

I don't have anything to show for it yet.

I have made multiple, full sets for the Aliens/Predator CCG, so if anything actually comes from this little project, I'd happily design some cards for it. I'm familiar with most aspects of Decipher's Star Wars CCG, I just don't have anything from the Episode 1 sets or the last few classic trilogy sets, such as Death Star II.

Star Wars CCG has a very elegant system. The cards in your deck represent the life-force of the player. This means that the player must strike a balance between how much he uses and what he preserves. Because of this, SWCCG is one of the few games where you can actually decide how many cards you draw per turn.

Another thing I like about it is attrition. Even if you win a battle, your still feel the effects of that battle.

The problems with SWCCG arose around the time the prequel cards started coming out. The game became overly complex, and the newer cards were over-powered.

I'd love it if we could modify the SWCCG rules to fit with the Old Republic universe.

Perhaps you could design cards, and I could work on a computer program to play the game online. And first, we would both flesh out the rules together.

Ideas ideas ;) Work now, be back late tonight.

Great work DirectX. Will you be making loot cards to go along with the playable deck?

Great idea ^.^ On top of that, you could loot weapons/devices from characters you killed in battle (instead of them just going to the lost pile).

For now, this is just fun in my free time. But if there is interest, we could flesh out our own rules system and make a full set of cards.

Yea, have a bounty hunter drop a Blaster of +4 blasting, or some other random card.
