G4 Interview and Insight on Leveling.

G4 has another review of Star Wars: The Old Republic, this one's big feature is there is at least 40 levels for us to venture through. You can read the entire feature here. There is a nice 5 minute video of the interview with Daniel Erickson. Remember, your past will come back to haunt you in this game at lvl 40 and possibly beyond.

And now at level 40, you're a pretty good and these guys come to you.

It says that 20 hs later..... So, does it means that it takes you 20 hours to reach from lvl 8 to 40?

It'll be immensely interesting to see how they maintain this story idea at endgame. With the individual story arc over, perhaps the best way to go about it is to wrap it into a sort of group story arc with the appropriate endgame niceties to occupy players.

Level 40 as the cap wouldn't be bad, as long as the journey takes a while. Since all the Gameplay demos have been god mode/high level characters, we don't know how long it'll take to go through a level. I figure they'll tweak that in the Alpha and Beta.

I guess I should have phrased my comment a bit differently ;).

As long as it takes a significant amount of time I have no problem with it, just not sure how they will fit anything within those levels to offer the kind of pace I think they are talking about. Either way I can't wait to see more on the leveling style.

Personally I really don't care how many levels there are at all, but I do kind of like the idea of having 'unlimited levels' - you just keep going up and up :D ... but that definitely wouldn't work in a game like this. :)

Almost certainly isn't level 40. I expect the story to be over around when the level cap hits.
