Amy has alerted us that the Coruscant holonet update is now online:

Coruscant. A symbol of power, prosperity, and innovation for civilization. The capital of the Republic serves as a hub of cultural influence and home to hundreds of alien species and from across the galaxy. Still recovering from the Sith attack during the Sacking of Coruscant, the planet has set out to rebuild what they have lost. Though the pristine skyline continues to grow, the lower level districts of Coruscant have developed troubles of their own.

Access the HoloNet to learn more about the history of Coruscant and the struggles facing the citizens as they rebuild the planet after the attack.

This year at the Penny Arcade Expo, attendees were treated to a special sneak-peek of the Republic capital world of Coruscant For anyone who was unable to attend, or anyone who would like to relive the video in higher quality, we invite you to check it out

This week we have been graced with the appearance of Coruscant on the holonet. It also looks like Coruscant will be the major planet for the Republic.

Since the Treaty of Coruscant, the Senate has been forced to make difficult decisions on prioritizing the Republics resources. Focus has been put on shoring up defenses in the border worlds and rebuilding only the parts of Coruscant critical to governance and trade. Large parts of the city-world still remain in ruins, and many sectors have fallen under gang control.

Just because it is Republic owned does not necessarily mean that the sith wont be able to go there. Remember how Dooku was able to go there with ease right after the battle of Geonosis.

Update: Sean has given us an update on when the Threat of Peace webcomic issue will be out:

Yes, we have two different options: (a) release it on Monday if all goes well or (b) release it next Friday with the other update. Either way, we will be releasing Threat of Peace #16 on Sep 25th and getting back to the regular schedule for it.

Have they released any information on planet sizes? Like, how big of an area will there be to wander around and do stuff, or how a much time it will take to walk from one end of the planet to the other? Maybe even a comparison to the sizes of zones in WoW?

Thanks!

Are you guys gonna dissect the Coruscant footage? There might be a few nuggets in there.

I'm really interested to see how much of this planet is open for exploration. Tough balancing act for BW.

Yeah ... I've thought briefly about what I'd do if I was building the world of Coruscant into the game - and I have absolutely no idea how I could do it! Too hard! :P
