The webcomic, Threat of Peace, is coming to paperback in 2010:

Dark Horse will release the trade paperback collection of the Star Wars: The Old Republic Webcomic early in 2010, according to Dark Horse's Jeremy Atkins at Baltimore Comic-Con. The collection will include the story that has been serialized on the Star Wars: The Old Republic videogame Website since early this year (see Dark Horses New Star Wars Initiatives).

The Star Wars: The Old Republic videogame is due out from BioWare in January. The game is highly anticipated; the Webcomic has been exposed to millions of readers since its debut in February.

Whether the second comment about the release date for the game is accurate or not is unknown. It is at least good to see that Dark Horse will be releasing the webcomic in trade paperback form.

They changed the comment to:
"The Star Wars: The Old Republic videogame is unscheduled, according to LucasArts. Amazon lists a January 1, 2010 release date."

I really, really dislike the art style in the online comic. It is not at all up to the standards I've come to expect from Dark Horse. I suppose there might be folks out there that like it, and if so, I'm happy for them to be able to purchase the physical copy, but I'll be keeping my coins in my pocket on this one.

Hang on ... doesn't that look like a pretty solid scheduled release date?

Oh actually maybe not. I thought you were quoting it from Dark Horse or swtor.com :P

Heres for hoping for collectors edition having the paper back version in it...

I thought the webcomic was to be web only? At least, I thought that was what Bioware stated when they first launched it.

Although I understand why it going to be released in paperback eventually. Many Star Wars fans + many Bioware fans = huge sales on a paperback comic :)

I just hope they get some new good artists.

I hope the comic paperback won't be out of date by the time it comes out due to continuing release of new issues on the TOR site.

of course it's going to be out of date they are just re releasing the web comic to a trade paperback form. For the people who want a hard copy and people who do not go to the site.

Well I was kinda thinking the comic may be done by then, or have stopped releasing new issues for a while.

the web comic will end when the game comes out or when the servers are closed.
