Id like to see what would happen with faction ratios. I mean usually it evens out more to less. However on my WoW server, for the past 5 years alliance has greatly outnumbered Horde. If this is an issue in TOR with a more or less open pvp system, then that means 1 side will almost always have a disadvantage. I would like to know if Bioware is going to step in at a certain point, or if they have a way of fixing this.

I've found that most Hordies say Alliance outnumber them on every server, when it's usually the opposite. It's easy to turn a blind eye to your own side's numbers, and overestimate the enemy's numbers when they attack you as a group.

im not basing this on just thinking one side has more. There are websites that keep track of ratios. Honestly, i just got back to playing WoW after a 6 month break, so i dont remember what website it was, but it has the horde : Alliance ratio for every single server..

I enjoyed this one. Zenkei's idea actually sounds pretty cool. Aion I think is coming out with something somewhat similar. Basically, you zone into this PvE dungeon thing and race to the boss, but the twist is you can run into the other faction, and you actually fight for the boss.

I can see something like that working for Star Wars...some place has some resource or artifact that both sides want, and you compete for it through PvP. Maybe have rewards at the end, and it will give your side a bonus, but you could do it as often as you wanted. Then say, if you side has control of the artifact, you can pre-load into the instance, set up traps and stuff, while the other faction has to fight their way to you and take it back or something. I'm sure some interesting things could come out of it.

Keep up the good work guys!

I know this has nothing to do with TOR but I recently got a Mac and i'm never going back to PC, its inevitable that Mac will soon become more compatible with other games.

But ya i don't wanna start a PC vs Mac war so ill end it at that lol :D

Mac won't be compatible with more games, why would it suddenly start being compatible? PC Gaming had its peak in the 90's with the LucasArts and Sierra adventure games, but today we still have almost no games for Mac.

But hey, that's what they invented Apple Bootcamp for.

It boggles me that swtor will not be released for mac. I say this because in the video, "The Voice of The Old Republic" it shows members of the Swtor team editing the game using...macs. I really don't care if it is released on mac because I have bootcamp, but this still bewilders me.

All console games are developed on PC(or Mac), and yet very few console games ever come to PC(or Mac). Same basic thing I guess.

Because there are far more Macs in the marketplace now than ever before. And these are in the consumer space - which is where game sales are. Market share used to be 3%. It's now 10%.

It's foolish for game companies to not support the Mac, especially on the AAA mainstream titles. There is minimal additional effort required to code and support Mac binaries, considering if done right every single art, audio and other assets are shared between the two.

Everything you THINK you know about the Mac market is changing before your eyes... the iPod phenomenon and now the iPhone have pushed the Apple and Mac brand in front of consumers eyes like never before, and it will be a snowball effect from this point.

i completely agree, 10 years ago games werent being made for macs because there was very little market. But now that its about 10% (a majoity being people in their 20's who are gamers) I cant see why there wouldnt be more compatability among games in the future.

If you're a gamer in your 20's, why would you go out of your way to buy a computer platform that is notorious for its lack of games? Simply put, if you're a game these days, you buy a PC, not a Mac. Macs are for what? Editing videos and pictures and stuff?
