Bounty Hunters are among the most infamous characters in the Star Wars universe. They are mercenaries for hire that don't care who they work for or what they to do, because, in the end, they are only in it for themselves. If you chose to play a Bounty Hunter you will risk your life on a constant basis, all for the thrill of the hunt and the glory of the kill.
"Bounty hunters. We don't need their scum."
- Admiral Firmus Piett
Background
"Core to the entire Bounty Hunter fantasy is this sense of independence. As a Bounty Hunter you are, and always will be, your own person. You start with nothing and work your way up, make a name for yourself and eventually travel in circles with Darths and Moffs, intelligence officers and governors, but you never become one of them. You work for your reasons, do things your way and can become a force of pure vengeance and destruction if crossed. Along the way you build a crew to support your ambitions, make friends or rivals out of the other great names in your field and tend to draw enemies like flies."- Daniel Erickson
The ongoing war with the Galactic Republic has caused the Sith Empire has put up massive bounties against their enemies. Countless Bounty Hunters have headed the call of the Empire and now seek their marked targets with extreme prejudice. These Bounty Hunters come from all races and creeds, with each pursuing his or her targets in their own ways. While some Bounty Hunters work for organizations, some don't; many adhere to the Mandalorian code of honor, others answer only to themselves.
The Sith Empire cares only for those who get the job done, and few individuals have the abilities to deliver on the tasks in which Bounty Hunters excel. The Empire is constantly testing those who manage to complete their bounties. Only the most hardened are able to survive for long in such a competitive and deadly business.
