The Old Republic Novel coming in 2010

A recently announced Star Wars: The Old Republic novel by Sean Williams is coming to your local bookstore in 2010:

A listing has shown up in the PubEasy ordering database for a novel titled Star Wars: The Old Republic by Sean Williams (isbn: 9870345511324) to be released July 27, 2010. [Source]

Sue Rostoni offered further information regarding the novel's possible release date along side Star Wars: The Old Republic:
Upon prompting about a novel for non-gamers who would still like to enjoy the story behind Bioware's new MMO, The Old Republic, Sue Rostoni said on Starwars.com's message boards that, "A novel will come out sometime around the game release time and that's all that's been determined so far." As much as we would like to speculate on how long "sometime" is from the release of the novel for hints at when the game could be released we have to remember that this is likely Sometime(TM). For those interested in a Star Wars: The Old Republic novel it looks as if you will see one very soon. Hat tip to Dan.

If there's a release date for the novel, then the story IS complete. Can't set a deadline till they're sure that everything's good as can be - BW policy

I think it's pretty safe to say that we know when our game is coming out (book often after game hint hint)

Sean Williams has co-written three books in the Star Wars: New Jedi Order series and is a multiple recipient of both the Ditmar and Aurealis Awards. His novelisation of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed was the first novelisation of a computer game to debut at #1 on the "New York Times" bestseller list.

Yeah! That's the whole exiting part about this news. Apparently there's so much story going in there that it's worth bothering to write a novel about it.

I wonder why Drew Karpshyn isn't writing it, he already writes for BioWare(including TOR) and has don several Darth Bane novels at LucasBooks.

He's done writing for every BioWare game since KotOR, and he's still had tim to write Darth Bane and Mass Effect novels. Isn't this Sean Williams one of the 2 guys who co-wrote the Force Heretic duology in the New Jedi Order? I know I've seen Sean Williams' name before.
