The good graces at Bioware have been generous with us this week. Not only did we see the Agent released, but a developer blog and Threat of Peace were released.

Senior Writer Drew Karpyshyn offers his thoughts on writing the Jedi Knight class storyline.

Lets start this blog off with an introduction. My name is Drew Karpyshyn. I was the lead writer on the original Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic game, as well as the author of several Star Wars novels. And I'm here to tell you about the Jedi Knight character class.

Now, anyone who's familiar with my novels Darth Bane: Path of Destruction, Darth Bane: Rule of Two and the upcoming Darth Bane: Dynasty of Evil might be surprised to hear I'm working on the Jedi Knight class. But I was excited to step away from the dark side so I could embrace the challenge of writing the good guy. (Or girl, of course.)

For those of you that would like some links, here is the Blog and Threat of Peace. If you want to read everything on the latest update, here is the big news thread.

i usually dont read the web-comics until about 6 installments, prior to that it is too short and makes no sense. however, i like the dev blog. bioware is bringing out the big gun with story writers and if you are one that cares for story there should be fun to have.

After reading the Dev Blog it made me think how emotional playing a Jedi Knight will be. You can't just run head long into every story arch and expect to be a Jedi Knight. You have to stop and think what will be the best coarse of action. This is not just a character, but your story. What you do makes a difference. At every turn you have to make a god-like moral decision.

After reading this, I hope all classes have such an intense story. I don't know how it will matter as a "bad guy", because your job is to kill everything that stands in your way. I have faith in Bioware though. Playing a Jedi is going to be a test of morals that puts RPG back in MMORPG.

the bad thing about killing everybody is the ripple effect. one death can cause whole systems to collspse, everyone that guy knows coming after you, losing imperial support and your peers becoming jealous of your power. all these things are common occurences with the sith but you could always use manipulation over strong-armed tactics

This was bad timing by bioware imo im sure some are intrested but it pretty much drowns in the agent update
