This class looks like it will be a lot of fun! I have no idea how I will be able to pick a main..

Get a random number generator 1-8 and each class is assigned to the order it was released. Using this method BH is 1 and Agent is 6.

Imperial Agent is the opposite to the Smuggler :O
Gogo Cover mechanic (Or is it something every class has?)

some fridays people go to the official forums and complain about the update not being enough. i ususally tell them to quit complainin, BW doesn't owe you anything. now i feel like those guys, outside the field recon videos we learned nothing new. i'll get over it though.

on a side note, ever since i saw the timeline video i pegged this as my class and nothing has changed

aj, have you noticed the aurubesh they've randomly been throwing into the timeline videos? I noticed it the other day and was thinking of trying to decode it and see if it said anything. Let me know if you're interested or find anything.

Yes i did those a while back the ones i found say:
: Entry In Progress
: Recording Dialog
: Enter Recording
: Jedi Archive
: Loading
: Welcome To The Holonet
Under Galactic Timeline at the top it says.
: By Master Gnost-Dural
Theres many more but they just say
: Searching Records
: Booting Sequence
: Archive Loaded
: Sequence Initiated
: Tython Archive
: File Restoring
: The Jedi Archives
The ones in the timelines that ive seen are mostly just garbage there not as good as the ones in the Classes,Planets, And Allegiances sections in the Holonet. :)

Well that saved me a ton of time. It is kind of a let down though. I thought the random characters floating around during the videos might be something. Oh well. Thanks!

Tho the Agent has some really nice tools he's more of a glass cannon (Wizard type) than the rest of the classes.
If the Agent gets the jump on you its almost over i guess but head to head looks like this 1 will be an easy kill PvP. This is a sneak-em-up class more than blast-em-up.
P.S If you pick agent and go PvP, don't be too upset if you get ganked early on :P

Amazing. I LOVE the class. Such a great addition to the game. Each side gets their low-armoured covering sneaky class. Each side gets their "take it like a man" armour class and each side gets their little glowstick waving type.

Anyway, no standing still and back to speculation!

Agents seem to, dispite my first thoughts, start on the planet of Nal Hutta! This makes things a perfect circle. So two blaster classes on remote planets with alot of action and story, and the two popular force users on their own mystical worlds where they've found their roots.

Korriban: Sith Warrior
Nal Hutta: Bounty Hunter, Imperial Agent
Tython: Jedi Knight
Ord Mantell: Smuggler, Trooper

The circle is complete. If there wheren't two empty slots on the website, you would say this is all the classes the game is going to get! Again we are left with no utter clue as to class seven and eight. I had hoped the Agent reveal had broken the 'circle' so that filling in the details would only be a matter of logical thinking.

However: Now that classes are devided so nicely across planets we're left with even MORE mystery. Will class 7 and 8 have their own planets? Or will they join the Jedi and Sith on their mystical homeworlds. Though my gut-feeling says otherwise, it does state that the classes yet to come -might- be very closely related to force users or be force users themselves. The "four force user classes" discussion isn't over yet, that's for sure.

One of the RL-mates I'm going to play with has nicked the Agent so I'm going to stick to the Bounty Hunter, but this is definatly one of those classes on the first row for my first alt in Star Wars: The Old Republic.

More information may be revealed, but the 'higher mysteries' are nowhere near solving.

Its hard to tell were the agent will start off. It apears as though in all the combat videos the agent will start on Nal Hutta. But in all the screens shots the agents are on Balmorra. However in the secound combat tactics video shows what apears to be a begining player agent, wearing only light armor shirt and pants. And no helmet or shoulders or other armor. So half of me beileves you, the other half says that each class would start out on their own planet. And that Imperial Agent starts at Balmorra. But with that video evidence against me, its hard to say which it'll be. Only time will tell I suppose.

However i think the fact that this class not only can be quite, and a loud killer makes it really interesting. It can hide, then stun, then silently kill with its long range blaster. Or it can do massive damage AoE's which arn't very quite. Plus if you look at the character modle on the Holonet page, after awhile you can see him deploy a recon droid. That appears to float around him, and seems to be cloaking him?! Or mabye its just healing him? Mabye even buffing? All these options are still out there, but i think its safe to say that the Idea of the Agent cloaking isn't completely gone.

Now only time will tell us what the next classes will be, and hey don't forget about the next planets! Or even more gameplay! Or even a duegon revealed! We have a long ways to go in this SWTOR community.

Oh please let the laast two classes have something to do with tameing "(fighting) pets"! Even though companion characters would defeat that purpose, I still think it'd be cool to run around with a nexu or something. I as well am still sticking to the BH class, but an agent will be an alt to roll for sure.

(sorry for the grammer/spelling errors, It wasn't able to edit for some reason.)

Comment by Fedaykin made on November 13th, 2009 at 6:30pm
It's pretty safe to assume they'll start in Hutta, because if you look at the Agent's page on the site, it links to Hutta. All classes link to their starting planet. :)

Comment by Deidare made on November 13th, 2009 at 10:17pm
Really, cool, hadn't noticed, it makes sense though, because not all planets will have starting classes, such as coruscant, and now Balmorra. Well, for what we know now. hehe

Really seems like the sith are getting the majority of classes with flashy toys. They are just more technology based. I'd been planning on going republic. But the sith classes are just looking so fun I'm not sure i can resist the lure of the dark side. Maybe thats bioware's attempt at getting a more equal population on each side of the fight. Rather than it being to heavily one sided.

Comment by AlphaAnt made on November 13th, 2009 at 12:56pm
From what I had gathered, it was looking pretty equal to begin with. No need to make Empire flashy just to draw people over.

I think they got more to work with on the Empire side. Most of the Jedi's powers were already canon, so it's basically "Slap on mechanics and go". With Agent, they pretty much built it from the ground up, so they can do whatever they want, and that's where the flashy comes in.

Comment by Fedaykin made on November 13th, 2009 at 12:49pm
I agree. Somehow I feel the Empire classes have more charisma over them.

Lucky me that we had already decided to play Empire here!

Orbital Bombardment - has some minus - it is quite useless in interiors ;) (unless game deliver destructible environment).
Paralyze Darts - looks similar to Smuggler's Stunt Grenades (but Smuggler has advantage - always fire first ;) ).
There are some good hints to speculate that those two classes are as mirrored as they can be in actual non-mirror (or semi-mirror) debate tendency ;p What Smuggler's abilities should be to "mirror" Agent's Orbital Bombardment? Maybe something like air-drop cointiners from smuggle friends, and that boxes can have some helpful content ;)

a smuggler "Air Drop" or "Resupply" would be pretty cool. But what would they drop? I don't think they are going to require the blasters to use ammo, but I guess that could be it. Heck even if it only drops teddy bears and confetti it would still be a cool looking ability. lol

Comment by Pinio made on November 13th, 2009 at 3:06pm
It fit very well to humorous side of this class. Especially this teddy bears, but they have additional effect - distraction if target survive attack ;)

Anyone else getting the feeling BW has thrown the coolness of the Imperial Agent right after the Jedi release just to try to cull the ranks of the Jedi wannabees at release? I mean they even showed a demo for the agent and not the Jedi?

Sorry for the negativity, just wanted to say: Fail! I'm still going to play Jedi! =)

Comment by Pinio made on November 13th, 2009 at 12:01pm
Because any technology is no match to the Force. Yes force-sensitive rlz. But I find that all classes have something interesting and look fun to play for me. So Jedi Of course, but not only.

But you know that Imperial Agent is so completely OP...

In all seriousness, I love this class. The abilities are just fun.

Wow, it didn't take long for people to start moaning about the Orbital Bombardment power. Jury's still out on that for me, but it's certainly unexpected.

I like the gadgeteering aspect of the class otherwise, though.
