What about Nar Shadda? It's been in the comic and the 2nd KotoR.

Comment by cwjedi made on November 22nd, 2009 at 5:32pm
I think that Nar Shaddaa will be more a part of Nal Hutta then a planet in its own right, after all it is only a moon.

I agree with Loganbacca and Lugano. I think it will be Dromund Kaas because there isn't a ton or lore about it for this time period and it's really only been featured in the Jedi Knight games. Plus, come on. It's all swamp and ocean. How cool is that?

Yeah, thats what I said in my post, totally is better than ziost, which is pretty much exactly like Korriban.

I feel that the next planet will be Dromund Kaas. There’s plenty evidence to support this. One: The planet itself has a dark force entity, even the very creature’s reek of the dark side. Second: The planet is a heck of a lot different from korriban; Ziost is an almost identical planet, with no real history to speak of, other than the ancient sith species migrating there. Third: As said above, its physical features differ from korriban; we don't want two similar planets, do we? (Even though Ziost is a partly snow covered planet around this era, most of it looks like Korriban.)

Fourth: The planet was in rule in the old sith Empire, so it was controlled in the old republic era giving it reason to exist in that time. Now so was Ziost, but as said before, it really had no role other than a data holding area for the sith. Fifth: This planet had dark adepts "living" their since the old republic era, it was a majorly secret planet, but in that era not much was said about it, giving Bioware and Lucas plenty of room to make history for this dark force planet. Ziost already had history in that era, it still has so little that Lucas could make it a planet, but it has more history in that era than Dromund Kaas. Sixth: It held many sith temples and ancient secrets, and in fact, held more than Korriban did (secrets that is, not temples :P Korriban likes its temples). Seventh: Plenty of wildlife NPCs, and dungeons could easily be made on this planet, due to terrain, and life forms that live there. Eighth: Looks like a killer planet to discover, and possibly a starting zone for the Imperial Agents, after all they love stealth, and Dromund Kaas is a very secretive planet.

Meaning that, if Agents get this planet as a starting world; that possibly every class would start out on a different planet. That’s something to look forward took. But my final reason for choosing this planet is well hello just look at all this info, its pimp compared to Ziost which is almost Identically similar to Korriban. Dromund is almost a mixture between Nal Hutta and Tython. Nal Hutta’s swampy lands and Tython’s many temples, and lush forests. Combine the two and you get a jungle world with Temples, and evil Agents everywhere.

I agree with you, why have to planet that looks Identical to one that already exists? We want something new and different, in looks, and lore. Great observation. I enjoyed reading what you had to say.

Hey DH Team:

Can't wait for the next podcast, as well as the December updates. Two questions for you, one a bit easier, one which will be a helluva lot more difficult to answer:

1) What's the music that you play at the beginning and end of every podcast? Can we get a youtube or itunes link?

2) The final two classes - speculation is rife in the air, and I'm sure you've seen the countless debate on the forums. Myself, I hope they're going with a couple of original and interesting classes - something like engineers with droid pets, etc, that will act in a support-like role.

Lately though, I've been under the sinking suspicion that we're going to be getting a couple more force using classes. If you look at the language in the gamespot interview on the Jedi, the developers reference several times that the Warrior and Knight are melee focused classes, that the JK is equivalent to the Guardian, etc. If the other two classes were NOT force using, I just don't see them going to those lengths.

That's a bit of a shame, because it will look like the old quintessential four of Fighter/Mage/Rogue/Cleric has been replaced with Fighter/Mage/Rogue/Big Armored Guy with a Gun. My hope is that Bioware would be a bit more creative than that.

I'd love to hear your thoughts: am I drawing at straws here, or do you also have the feeling from parsing developer language that we're headed in the direction of having four force-using classes?

Comment by Deidare made on November 21st, 2009 at 1:11pm
@- Falconer: I too thought that an Engineer class would have something like a "droid pet". Until I realized, uhh there’s already companion characters for any class. Defeating the purpose for a fighting pet, it'd be cool, but it could make the class seem too OP. However, we don’t know whether or not your companion characters can fight with you in "battle grounds" or in raids, and if they can't they'd probably "disappear, and reappear” when you exit the raid or BG. Meaning they might mostly be for solo game play, and the story. Making a "pet" seem possible, but still slightly unlikely

Second- I have to disagree on when you said that the classes seem like they'll be "fighter/Mage/Rogue/ Big armored guy". Because first Jedi/sith are the melee class. Then Agent and smuggler are more like the "caster" rather than rogue, because they prefer blasters over melee; Melee seems more like a second option. And BH/ Trooper are the Tank. However, sith could also be the tank, and Jedi could end up being a healer, meaning the classes exact role are yet to be determined. But I think it’s going to end up like this: Empire- dps- Agent, BH. Tank- Sith (can also dps; don't forget about the talent trees!) Healer- Probably the next class. Republic: dps- Trooper (maybe a tank?), Smuggler. Tank- (maybe a trooper? or the next class.) Healer: Jedi (will dps, and could be a tank, it’s really not certain what a Jedi will do, my bet is heal and dps though). Meaning that the last Empire class is probably a healer, and the last Republic class is probably a dps. And I too hope Bioware will be creative, but they seem pretty dang well at it so far :P.

i picked dromund kaas, coz im really curious how bioware is gonna deal with malfunctione of all weapons, excluding lightsabers(found that on wookieepedie)

Comment by Lugano made on November 21st, 2009 at 8:04am
I picked Dromund Kaas because I think it has a cooler name for a Sith planet. Besides, we don't know much about it, which means Bioware would be free to go nuts and make it as awesome as they want.

Only two planets for the poll? You guys know something we dont? Stupid NDA's lol.

For the sake of debate im going to fill in my own , I think Bastion will be used as the Sith Throneworld and it will be the next Imperial planet to be revealed.

Comment by Loganbacca made on November 21st, 2009 at 7:06am
I voted Dromund Kaas. It seems like BioWare is going with a lot of planets that haven't been fully visualised before, perhaps to give them a bit more freedom to shape the planet the way they would like to see it?
Ziost could also be a very real possibility though with the amount of already established lore tied to it. Although personally I think it would just end up filling a similar role that Korriban already does.

The other planet was referenced in the Imperial Agent holonet. That is where we pulled it from.

As much as I'd prefer it to be Ziost, if DK is on the Agent's holonet, then it will probably be DK. BioWare has been dropping hints just like this the whole time.
