Just a quick heads up for those looking at sales today with Black Friday going on. Steam has Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic for $2.49 over their download service for the next 22 hours (from the time of posting).

If you have yet to pick up Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, there is no better time to do so.

At first i hated this game. There were no X-wings, TIE fighters, or death stars, and I was extremely dissapointed. Then, about a year later, I actually played it past Taris and then, I have to admit, KotOR is a good game, especially for under 3 bucks.

Remember, KOTOR II is not a BioWare game. It was made by Obsidian which was a re-mashup of Black Isle Studios (BG, Icewind Dale, Etc..) even though BioWare and BIS did have co publish agreements at one time.

Still a fun game though. :)

and the game was released around 1 year before it was ready to go on sale so it was never finished and full of bugs. But there is a modding attempting to finish the game http://www.deadlystream.com/showthread.php?t=339

I just got this a couple months ago when Pete tweeted out that it was only $10 on steam. I knew I should have waited! :)

I'm trying to run it on Win7 64bit - getting a crash to desktop after the LucasArts Intro. But it's still open in the taskbar somehow. It's seems to be stuck on the topper left very, very tiny. Any of you guys know what to do?

Grr ... I'm angry at Steam for making me wanna buy too many games.

"Well, it's only $2.50" ... every time. :P

I'd rather it be the TOR beta key :D I still have the original CD's for Kotor.

I still have it for my old xbox, but you would be surprised how many people following this game have never played KotOR.
