Love the show,
Obviously any answer I get at this point will be guess's and conjecture's, but as MMO players, and Bioware fans, do you think they'll be support for game controller's, and if so what extent do you think they'll be customizable? Can I like hold down my right bumper on my Xbox 360 controller and bring up extra uses for my X,Y,A,B, etc buttons? I'm an MMO virgin so I was wondering how they usually get implemented (I think WoW supports it the 360 controller). I know MMO gamers think I'm gimping myself with my lack of buttons, and they find such things laughable, but I'm playing for the solo content, and it makes ALL the difference in the world to me. I MIGHT get into that "MMO" stuff later.

Side-note: Lord Angral is a Sith Warrior on SWTOR website wallpaper section, but he uses Force Lightning during the "Deceived" trailer and a single-bladed lightsaber. Hopefully, from my perspective anyway, this means the Sith Warrior has access to Force Lightning, or the Inquisitor has access to single-bladed lightsabers or both :)

Just curious on a small feature... For melee users (like the Sith Warrior), is there free-form movement when using abilities? In other words, when you played the Sith Inquisitor and were using your Saber Strike, could you move around the target while swinging away? Or does it "lock" you in place while you perform the animations? Also, can you move during other abilities, and any of the channeled abilities?

Also, if you can move, does it seem to make the animations look worse? During the demos, it looked like they strategically stopped moving the Sith Warrior when he was attacking, because I'm wondering if the clashing of swords and what-not no longer looks good when you have two guys bouncing and twirling around each other.

Can you find out if there will be Day/Night Switch in swtor?

I choose Sith (quite obvious why). There are lot about planets, and I have nothing to add at this point, only specify what planets I have in mind e.g. :Nar Shaddaa, Corellia, Tatooine, Dagobah, Bothawui, Ryloth, Ithor... etc. :D Maybe some of this planet.

I have a idea. What about big space stations. Maybe aside of planets there are some of this structure which can play same role :D

Head will explode in nerd rage if a Sith planet isn't revealed soon... go go ZIOST!!!

Comment by Deidare made on December 12th, 2009 at 3:05pm
Err Dromund Kaas, unless they make Ziost look exotic, and different from Korriban. But yes, next planet better be Empire, or shame on BW.

I wouldn't mind Dromund Kass either.

Comment by Deidare made on December 13th, 2009 at 12:20am
Yeah, either would be cool, as long as they get something else for zoist that might make it a little more different from korriban, and not just in geography, but story, which I’m certain BW can handle.

It is supposed to be under an ice age at the moment, so that would be fairly unique.

I voted Sith. I with 2 of the last 3 class reveals being Sith, we'll see a new planet for them.

Also, I think the new classes are looking good. At first I was a little meh about there being two force users on each side, but they are starting to grow on me a bit. As long as the healing is done right, like a combat medic type, or even similar to a DoK or WP from Warhammer, it could be a fun class to play, which won't be too OP hopefully.

It will be a Sith planet because we had a long stretch of planets that were independent and republic. The background in the email showed some barren, lifeless, planet with a stone stab arena in the background with tall poles with red flags. This indicates that there could be two things: swoop racing or battleground. This typical action usually occurs in Geonosis or Tatoonine. This likely to occur to be in Geonosis because all planets revealed so far are all planets we never played on SWG, and make it unique. If it is Tatoonine, it would be because the Empire ruled it over or the hutts (which cannot be the case because they didn't invade after several hundred years with Jabba the hutt).

Therefore, with my two tacos, I believe it will be Geonosis. Put it on the parlay. I feel a win on my part.

Yes, but did you look at the landscape, I know no part of Geonosis that has a sand color of yellow. Geonosis is a red dust, rock barren planet, it really doesn't have sand. The only planet that the picture points to is Tatooine. I may be wrong, but I'm almost certain it’s Tatooine. But I also think Geonosis could be one of the Empires next planets Macer, so I believe both will be released. Besides, pod racing, illegal gambling, and illegal arena fights, all would be so awesome :).

Perhaps so, but I think what you described there could give us hint that either of the two would be the best logical choice. However, we cannot assume that the picture is there for a hint or deceive us to think it was there for looks and be one that is completely different, like the ones mentioned above by emlaeh and yourself. I do feel in my taco heart that it will be in hopes of a unique planet and empire. I hope for Geonosis. I love bugs and greasy stuff. ;)

I voted Sith, for obvious reasons. I think we might be also seeing Mustafar, Geonosis or Kamino next, as there are iconic planets to some of fans in the teens or early- twenties, all having very different and unique environments and being rather promenant figures in the latest films.

Well, if we were to go by Threat of Peace, then my only guess is that it's going to be Dantooine. Should be nice to see the rural world again. I imagine that it has change alot more after the war, no doubt beeing infested with both Republic and Sith bases, seeing as though the battle is still in action. This is the reason i voted Neutral.
My favourite representation of Dantooine so far was in NJO Dark Tide 1: Onslaught. The way the planet was a staging area to stop the Yuuzhan Vong conquest was just brilliant from my point of view as a reader :D

I think Sith empire as well. For most of the listed reasons. Just numbers point to it being sith. Tat may be it as well though considering that graphic. I still say a sith planet though.

Geonosis perhaps with ties to IA and arenas/gladiator stuff???

Comment by Deidare made on December 11th, 2009 at 11:34pm
Good point Heybarn, Geonosis is featured in the timeline videos for gladiator events, and Imperial agent schemes. It would also be easy for BW to make because it’s been featured in past star wars video games. And a gladiator pvp "arena" on the planet would be sweet. Such as fighting Empire VS Empire in teams of 3, or Republic VS Republic, etc. That would be sweet. Even though I don’t think many republic classes would fight in illegal gladiator events, the only one that comes to mind would be trooper; smugglers aren’t battle built enough. Either way, Geonosis would be cool, but I'm not putting my money on saying that'd be the next planet.
