We’re going with Zoidberg’s very good suggestion of DARTH ANDEDDU unless we can find something better… but Drew Karpyshyn mentions him in the Darth Bane books & there are a few blog entries mentioning him, so this is our strongest contender so far:

I don’t really know if I can say anything else about who might be appearing in the novel, but I’m going to throw a couple names out just for kicks: Cognus, Set Harth, Andeddu.
Wow, I probably said way too much. Maybe I should delete that. But for some reason I’ve been very in touch with my own personal dark side lately, so let’s leave it for now and see if I get in trouble.

Well I hate to piss in anyone’s Cheerios but; if this was an actual communiqué, then there would be rules and standards for which words would be obfuscated. If “Darth” was allowed to remain in its unaltered form in the third line of the paragraph, why would it be suppressed in the last line of the paragraph?
Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to finally be able to place Andeddu in the timeline. It would answer some questions, but it doesn’t make sense.
Also, has anyone ever referred to Baras as Darth? He’s a pretty deceptive dude. If he was a Darth, but did not insist his subordinates call him Darth, chances are his name wasn’t Darth Baras. He probably used the title with a new name in a completely different circle of influence, and his subordinates didn’t know about Baras’ extracurricular activities.
It seems to me that whomever the third line’s “Darth (5)” references, is the same as the last line’s “(7) successor” (or (5)’s successor). I.e. Darth Frank(5)… Frank’s(7) successor.

Well you know it could be anyone, chances are LA/BW (whoever writes the bloody story
), is going to create a new Sith Lord. That way, nothing can be held against them for Lore, and they can do whatever they want with him.
I know some of the other Sith lords have very little background, But it isnt hard to create a new name and therefore, I think that it will be a fresh One.
Bah, it’s also just as likely the “Don’t trust anyone” line even applies to this very excerpt and is just something to get the forums talking

That last line. “For those of you giving it a try, one last word of advice: Whatever you do? Don’t trust ANYONE.” I think this is a message of some sort relating to listening to what people say the puzzle means. Anyone agree?
Darth Addendu fits perfectly imo. He’s known to have lived for centuries, and he’s only known to have lived thousands of years before 1000 BBY. It would also make sense why the Jedi would erase all record of him if he was the Emperor.

Yet he’s supposed to be in stasis on Prakith in the Deep Core at this time. While BioWare can always do a retcon and have him fit in it seems wierd that they would use Andeddu rather then make a new character.
I gotta go with that they wouldn’t put in a new, unknown character in a marketing piece of that fashion.
Their marketing department is totally aligned with the Dark Side.
I think its a toss out that they will be revealing the identity of the Emperor soon. Its seems to me there are only 3 possibilitys.
a) Andeddu
b) Karnage
c)Unknown
we will just have to wait and see.
There is always lore they can create to make something work out. For example there can be an in game event where your main objective is to force Andeddu into a carbon freeze and shove him in a rocket to the center of the Galaxy.
The trouble i have with Andeddu is that he left for his citidel of his own accord. To get away from other sith who he believed wanted to take his secrets or power. I’m a bit unsure on when he did this though. Although the hyperspace war rings a bell.
This developer blog has me excited to play an imperial agent. Nobody will be able to go toe-to-toe with xxxLegolasxxx!!1! (Don’t even think about trying to steal my char name)

I will remind everyone that I was EXTREMELY hungover and tired yesterday.
The only reason im inclined to disagree with Darth Andeddu as Sadow’s successor is that he was entomed for thousands of years on Prakith which is in the Deep Core , but we already know that the TOR era Emperor emerged from the Unknown Regions.
It should also be noted that the only Official Darth (per Leland Y. Chee’s blog) that does not have any backstory already and has 7 letters is Darth Karnage. This name was added to a late 2006 blog and this Sith Lord has not been mentioned to date anywhere. Could just be a name from a cancelled book like the Plaigus series.
Karnage was Zenkei’s guess as well, but we couldn’t find proof that he lived in The Old Republic Era.
True but you have to admit its odd the Karnage is the only Official Sith Lord in the EU continuity with literaly zero background information.
I found it a bit odd, yes. Reason I picked him instead of Andeddu.
Very well-done. Sorry I couldn’t be there for the deciphering as I was soo hungover and partying with my homies. The Imperial Agent is starting to grow on me more and more as they talk about their philosophy as being infamous but stealthy in the crowd. It reminds me of playing Assassins Creed 2 type persona, and I think this class will bring more of that, even though this class is not prominent to the SW Lore. I am glad they are doing a class like this and try to make it sneaky and ruthless in darkness. This class will be lethal, like Batman.
The Bounty Hunter forums are getting more and more pulled into the IA more. We shall see. I love to see them get a chance of a new update.
By the way, the Sith Inquistor forums are retarded. Don’t listen to them DH team. They are crazy and have no mind of their own.
this was definitely a very interesting article. As i read through it, i was wondering, since it mentions being a spy within republic ranks a few times, if there will be something or some way for us to do that ingame. I mean like, as an Imperial Agent, to enter republic towns, and do undercover jobs (quests).
Honestly up until this point the Bounty hunter has been my main candidate for my first character, but now i may have to reconsider that….

The Imperial Agent will need to determine his own loyalties and the loyalties of those around him, and survive the attentions of OPRAH’S successor, the Sith Lord REGIS PHILBIN.

I’m not arguing with your guess with Darth Andeddu, as it fits and is as good a guess as anything, but is the DK blog really hinting at this? After all, he was talking about Dynasty of Evil.
This is, hands down, one of the cooler stories.
I now think the last 2 names will be the name of the guy in charge of the Imperial Intelligence and his apprentice that will be introduced in web comic. The current head would fail one to many times or gets betrayed by the apprentice and he becomes the new head.

Since we are looking at the Successor being of Sadow’s, then we could look at the names of the Known Sith Lords that were with Sadow’s crew during the GHW and see which have 7 Letters
It has to be Prominent and not Renegade, there are 9 X’s not 8 X’s

“Genetically Enhanced XXXXXXX(7)” (Species or Profession [like Warrior or Soldier])
“XXXXXXX Successor” (Name)
“Sith Lord DARTH XXXXXXX” (Name)
I would say it’s a profession, it doesn’t really make much sense as a species name. Also since Agents are primarily a ranged class it would make sense that they would get a tanking companion, which would be a warrior or soldier.
We’re currently thinking Soldier or Trooper.
Yeah, the top guesses so far is:
*Soldier
*Trooper
*Warrior
and still no clue on the bottom 2 7 X’s(name)
Well the names have not been said yet but the first name is of someone who died most likely and it has to end with a ’s
also they will probably be mentioned in the next time line videos or web comics but my money is on the time line videos.
