Star Wars: The Old Republic Confirmed at E3

The events page at the official Star Wars: The Old Republic website updated today and confirmed E3 attendance for 2010:

Have you been wondering where you can get a glimpse of Star Wars: The Old Republic in person? We have some exciting news We have confirmed the first event that we will be attending this year: Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles on June 15th to the 17th. We will have updates available to the community on the official website.

Darth Hater plans to attend with a full contingent to cover all the related activities.

Its a pity E3 is media etc only I was going to be LA around that time. Which Expos allow joe public to attend, if any?

Awesome to hear Darth Hater will be there. You folks can pick out the important parts of the game and those points of concern to the community (like the zone scale) better than any one else I've seen, including the professional mags.

I'd love to go if I could. I'm sure we'll get some big things announced at E3 since last year was all about the story stuff. I'm sure leading up to E3 they'll release the remaining planets, then start talking about stuff like species and the sub classes etc.

It would not bother me if E3 was SWTORs only appearance on big events this year (though I think they will at least be at gamescom in germany, too) as long as the information they dish out there is really rich. What we saw last year was more or less three big events with two major points of interest. The trailer which was presented at E3 and the walkthrough we saw at PAX and Gamescom (although these were slightly different). The surrounding "news" were more or less non-existend. There were dozens of talk-to-the-devs events, but they did not really open up much there because of the "we can't talk about that yet" philosophy we all love so much.

So if they have a news- and features-packed appearance at this years E3 with no appearance at the other events, we probably won't have less new info to talk about than we had in '09 with three major appearances. I know that this sounds a little pessimistic, but after all it's realistic, too...

Is E3 Industry only? I checked out the site and that was my impression. $400/ pop /SadPanda. I hope they come to San Diego in July.

I can almost guarantee they'll be at Comic Con in July. The companion novel for TOR comes out two days after the event. That can't be a coincidence. I'm sure they'll be heavily involved with the Star Wars panel that is usually held.

No real surprise there considering how far the game is from release. They would also be attending Gamescom Europe's E3 and probably Pax east but any others is what I am more curious about.

Looks like possibly no PAX East this year? Hope there is a chance at Comic Con and PAX West (if they do a West).

I don't see why they wouldn't do PAX West they did last year. What ever they show would at e3 assuming it would be behind closed doors again will probably be showed again for the public at PAX West + a few new things.

That's what I was thinking. EA will be at pax east, but neither Bioware or Lucasarts.

E3 better be good now!
