BioWare and Star Wars: The Old Republic writer Drew Karpyshyn updated his blog with details about his ComicCon and Celebration V appearances:

However, the wait is worth it, because I have an update on my appearances at Comic Con in San Diego. I will be speaking on a BioWare/LucasArts panel on Friday from 1-2 pm. I'm also going to be signing books at the Random House booth from 4-5 pm on Friday. (We're trying to get some advance copies of Mass Effect: Retribution, but it's not a sure thing yet.)

Sean Dahlberg just unveiled the plans for Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ at Comic-Con International:

Comic-Con International is coming to San Diego, California! Meet up with The Old Republic team at the panel entitled Beyond Solo: Crafting the Multiplayer Story in Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ on July 23rd from 1:00 to 2:00pm in Room 7AB. Morgan Webb (G4s X-Play) moderates a discussion with James Ohlen (Studio Creative Director and Lead Designer, BioWare), Drew Karpyshyn (Principal Writer, BioWare), and Alexander Freed (Managing Editor, BioWare) about the creation of the multiplayer, planet-spanning story in Star Wars: The Old Republic. While much attention has been paid to the unique individual stories of each of the eight classes in the game, the team is excited to share their approach to the broader stories players will experience in The Old Republic.

Other things going on at Comic-Con for The Old Republic:
Blood of the Empire signing by Alexander Freed at the Dark Horse booth
Hope Cinematic Trailer displayed at the Star Wars™ booth

And don't forget, Friday, July 23rd is Star Wars Day! Arrive dressed as your favorite class or character from The Old Republic to show your support!

Stay tuned for more details!

Comic-Con takes place on July 22-25, 2010 at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California. You can find ticket and event information at the official Comic-Con website.

Update: In another Tweet, Sean Dahlberg seems to confirm SWTOR's presence at PAX as well:

@Kyle_Pants If you're looking for Star Wars info in general, #SWCV is definitely the place to be. If more #swtor, I'd recommend PAX.

The webcomic, Threat of Peace, is coming to paperback in 2010:

Dark Horse will release the trade paperback collection of the Star Wars: The Old Republic Webcomic early in 2010, according to Dark Horse's Jeremy Atkins at Baltimore Comic-Con. The collection will include the story that has been serialized on the Star Wars: The Old Republic videogame Website since early this year (see Dark Horses New Star Wars Initiatives).

The Star Wars: The Old Republic videogame is due out from BioWare in January. The game is highly anticipated; the Webcomic has been exposed to millions of readers since its debut in February.

Whether the second comment about the release date for the game is accurate or not is unknown. It is at least good to see that Dark Horse will be releasing the webcomic in trade paperback form.

Zam.com had the chance to sit down with Jake Neri and Hall Hood from Bioware to talk about Star Wars: The Old Republic. The interview among other things discusses what they talked about at Comic-Con, Lucas, and the story of the game.

There was one thing that personally struck me in the interview:

And by the way, the people who are spending time breaking down the game; that's really, really flattering. It's very humbling for all of usI think that sort of passion that people are putting into [analyzing] this game only fuels us more.

I would like to make a leap on that one but I probably shouldn't. ;)

Another Interview has made it onto the net today, this time by the guys at MMORPG. It seems as if again the panel and other interviews have stolen the thunder out of this newest round of interviews. Either way if you're interested check out the link for the full article below.
"One specific answer in a quest line won't be a decision that makes the player hate his character," Alexander elaborated. "It's not like I've offered you 12 cups of tea and you've accepted everyone but I jump on you for accepting the 13th for no other reason than it's the 13th cup."
