This week's Friday update is now online:

Whether you're looking to dominate the galaxy in the name of the Empire or rescue it from darkness as part of the Republic, you wont get very far without a starship. In Star Wars: The Old Republic, your starship will be your base of operations, and it might even be your best friend. Ship models are specially designed to match the needs and tastes of each of the class types, so even though all the starships are outfitted for traveling the galaxy, each has its own character.

Study the style and specifications of the various Starships by accessing the HoloNet now!

You will notice these Starships have been dissected from the Space Combat Video that came out earlier this week. As well as Starships there are new polls available for your perusal. The poll questions are:

As always, we look forward to seeing the results of the new polls.

There is also a Fan Friday featuring artwork from community members Wraloa and Kiuas, a fan-created video from Tukor, a showcase of a community RP thread, and more new avatars.

But most importantly, the Developer Corner outlined everything announced during our Gamescom presention about Advanced Classs (where we failed the "let's see how many data points we can write down in 20 seconds and if we can read our own handwriting" test -- self-depreciating humor there folks, but you can now see why we had some stuff missing), and new concept art that seems to show HK-47, or at the least a model of his same type.

Aurebesh translations after the jump.

As an addendum to yesterday's reveal of the Jedi Sentinel and Jedi Guardian, we were about to wrangle some additional details about the Jedi Knight class from Drew Karpyshyn, BioWare's Lead Writer.

Read on for the follow up to our Comic-Con interview with him to find out his take on what went into creating the Jedi Knight, and debunking the perceived Sith bias in BioWare and LucasArts' marketing efforts.

The Friday update is here and we receive a bevy of information on top of everything we may learn at Celebration V. First off on this double header, Sean jumped on the official forums to let us know about the Jedi Knight advanced classes.

As part of our ongoing class updates, we are thrilled to confirm the Advanced Classes for the valiant Jedi Knight Guardian and Sentinel! Whether you want to defend the weak and inspire your allies to amazing feats as a Guardian or learn the art of using two Lightsabers simultaneously to create an intricate web of damage as a Sentinel, the Advanced Class system in Star Wars: The Old Republic will help you customize your character. Check out the Jedi Knight section on the HoloNet for more information! Check out the media section to see a new video of the Jedi Knight in action, and download some never-before-seen screenshots!

Weve also updated the Biography section with someone indispensable to the Jedi Knight Astromech T7-01! Visit the HoloNet to learn about this known associate from the Jedi Knight holorecord, or by accessing the T7-O1 biography.

Along with confirming many long standing bits of speculation regarding companion characters and class rolls, this update adds another revamped holonet page to be scoured for new clues and hints. However, we mentioned it was a double header and it looks like our friends at Dark Horse are showing us a little more story with the next issue of the Blood of the Empire webcomic!

As a special bonus, this issue of the webcomic officially reveals the preview panel we received for our one year anniversary!

It's the beginning of the end in the ninth issue of Blood of the Empire. Teneb Kel awakens from his vision with a new understanding of the danger he faces--but is there still time to stop Exal Kressh's plot against the Emperor from coming to fruition? And meanwhile, what's going on with Maggot and the Jedi Padawan...?

Check out the latest issue of Blood of the Empire now!

Update:Tip of the Hat to Thomas for noticing that the Miraluka were added to the Inhabitants page!

In addition to some space combat details, the latest issue of PC Gamer revealed the Advanced Classes for the Jedi Knight: the Jedi Sentinel and the Jedi Guardian. PC Gamer described the Sentinel as a dual wielding DPS, light armor wearer, while the Guardian is single wield "tankish" class, and can wear heavier armor. LucasArts confirmed these were indeed the names of the Advanced Classes, but couldn't provide any additional details.

Star Wars™ authors were out in force at the San Diego Comic-Con, and we were on hand to pry as much information from them as we could. In addition to Sean Williams, we sat down with BioWare staple Drew Karpyshyn to learn more about crafting stories for Star Wars™: The Old Republic™.

Our dissection of the Star Wars: The Old Republic content released during E3 is now online. As in our prior dissections, we will add new content in as we find it, so keep checking back. Feel free to let us know if you notice something we missed, and we will be happy to add it to our dissection with credit. Note: If something is mentioned in a prior dissection, then we do not reiterate it again here. Low bandwidth users should note there are numerous images contained in this article.

We're definitely seeing a lot of posts from BioWare developers and writers lately. Today, Rob Chestney commented on a thread discussing Smuggler's Vanguard:

Thanks for all the encouraging feedback. I'm glad to see people like Hylo as much as I do. She's definitely become one of my favorite characters, and I hope to tell more of her story as time goes on. I'll be honest and say she's not one of the most prominent characters in the game (for that, see 'Biographies'), but part of what brings the Old Republic to life is that the writing team has fleshed out the back-stories of hundreds (if not thousands) of characters who will appear in the game, and taking even the minor characters to a high-level of detail is part of what we think makes a great BioWare story.

More from Rob Chestney, including his impression of the Jedi Knight, after the jump.

While attending GDC last week, Darth Hater was fortunate enough to be invited out to the LucasArts office in San Francisco for a hands-on demo featuring the Trooper class. After finishing our time with the game we spoke with Daniel Erickson, Star Wars: The Old Republic's lead writer about the classes, their stories, and a few of the choices players will be facing in game.

A few months ago we got a not-so-subtle tip from Rob Chestney that the Threat of Peace webcomic is an important asset for internet detectives following Star Wars: The Old Republic. For us here at Darth Hater, we see it as a relatively untapped well of gameplay and story information, possibly rivaling the Holonet. To this end we thought it might be a good idea to look at some of the more unusual or interesting clues that may be hidden in the art and story of the comic. Hit the jump for a fresh look at the Threat of Peace.

Arguably the greatest rift in the Star Wars: The Old Republic community came from the possibility, now reality, of four of the eight classes as force users. This discussion spawned shortly after the Sith Warrior was released and described as a melee focused class, and only grew in intensity. Having nearly a month to think about this design choice, we felt it was important to weigh in with our opinion.

Star Wars: The Old Republic has garnered a rabid fan base since it's official announcement over a year ago. This community has eagerly awaited each new reveal BioWare has prepared, however, not everyone has been patient enough to wait for Fridays to roll around. Some industrious individuals have taken it upon themselves to sift through the official site, attempting to ferret out any content clues hidden within the website architecture.
