In case you missed today's XPlay here is the preview that you missed on The Old Republic:

Unfortunately nothing new was really shown or mentioned in the preview that we have not seen already. However, for those that have not been keeping up day to day with what is going on in the Star Wars: The Old Republic scene it is a good summation of what was seen at GamesCom.

Here's a heads up for people with a DVR:

Don't miss any of X-Play's fall specials. It all gets started as X-Play presents Gamescom 2009, starting Monday, August 31st at 6:30PM. Catch a preview of Mass Effect 2, Castlevania, Star Wars: The Old Republic and a hands-on demo of Dirt 2.

They do not mention what it will feature but it is probably worth recording anyways if you're looking for more info on The Old Republic. I will be making sure to catch it myself and if anything comes out of it ill make sure to post about it ;).

The morality system in SWTOR is one that has been of much contention for the past couple weeks since the developer panel at Comic Con where the developers mentioned the posibility of being dark, light, or gray on either side. In this latest SWTOR preview from Goha we get an even bigger glimpse at the way the system will work at retail:

For his own good. Obeying, he ordered all the same to make a jump, and after the dialogue we have 2 points lighter side of the Force. We do not believe our eyes. It turns out, you can. But still - be a Light Sith can. And get special, unique ability to light side. Like a Jedi of the Republic can no obstacles stand in the dark side of the Force. Moreover, even the developers have implemented a third, gray way, something that has little outlines of KotoR 2. Those who are trying to maintain a balance between the sides of the Force. Also waiting for their unique abilities.

The depth that this system could offer in the future is immense and we can't wait to see it at work in the future.

Six Player instances reference:

In all instances (in the SW: ToR "flashpoint") can go 6 characters, each of which will be followed by his companions.

It should be noted that this has been translated using Google's translator and the translation is obviously a little iffy. If we can find someone to translate this we will update this post in the future.

It has been confirmed that every class will have an out of combat heal that will allow players to keep progressing rather than the game slowing down artificially through eating/drink breaks:

Even at this early stage and basic complement of attacks, combat was very fast and almost like a pure action game. Each class is going to have an out-of-combat heal, which keeps the pace moving quickly.

We had heard about this before in one of the developer interviews a while back but it nice to see it has finally be confirmed in the demo.
